We’re calling CFC’s most important fundraising event of the year Philanthropy in Flannel. 2023’s event on November 5th will be an evening to gather with friends, enjoy good food and drink, and support conservation and restoration efforts that are helping the Cascades in southwest Washington.

Sunday, November 5th at 5 pm
Leftbank Annex
101 N Weidler St, Portland, OR 97227

The night will feature a live band, both live and silent auction packages, dinner, drinks, and fun times with old and new friends. This will be a memorable evening you won’t want to miss and we can’t wait to see you.

CFC is recognized as a leading organization for ecosystem protection. Originally formed in 1985 as the Gifford Pinchot Task Force, our founders came together to participate in forest management decisions, advocate for the conservation of critical habitats and natural resources, and help protect the newly created Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument.

For over 35 years, we have combined science and advocacy to protect mature and old-growth forests from logging and development, restore critical habitat areas to create resilient ecosystems, and halt proposed prospecting that could lead to an open-pit gold and copper mine in the Green River valley.

We work collaboratively to increase economic benefits for rural communities and we value strong local partnerships in our conservation and restoration programs. We have educated thousands of people about the benefits of healthy forests and watersheds through events, partnerships with local entities, and opportunities to participate in science and restoration volunteer trips.

Our banquet and auction brings together over 150 friends and supporters, and is our most important event of the year. All funds go toward important projects like those described above. We have great deals in our live and silent auctions, beer, wine and other drinks from local vendors, and dinner catered by local chefs.
